BCP makes every effort to offer the greatest value at the least cost for shipping worldwide. Our objective is to provide the most efficient and reliable service to you. Shipping is not a profit center for BCP and we try to break even. The total shipping charges include: actual shipping costs, insurance, employee handling, and packing materials. We will E-mail you an order confirmation, if we have any questions they will be addressed in this E-mail. Later, once we ship your order, we will E-mail you the shipping particulars, including the Waybill Number(s). Be certain to check your E-mail often! If ever in doubt about your order you should E-mail, fax, or phone BCP.

Continental US Shipping Rates:

General Information:

Includes: Shipping/Handling/Insurance In the continental U.S. our preferred carrier is UPS Ground. UPS will not ship to PO Boxes. If you just have a PO Box we use Priority Mail.

Refer to the UPS Ground Shipping Map for shipping times within the continental U.S. If you need Expedited Service, our primary air carrier is Federal Express (2 Day Air or Overnight Air). Express Mail is only used when FedEx is not an option (see rates below, which apply in 90% of our shipments). We are happy to quote on any form of Expedited shipping. Check your email for a response from BCP. We will process your order (without any reconfirmation from you) and charge you accordingly if you select "Process My Order" (regardless of the type of shipping method you choose). If you select "Receive Quote" we will not process your order until we receive a reconfirmation from you. Please note we print charts on demand and we may be out of stock of certain items, therefore, occasionally requested items may not be shipped immediately. Check your email for estimated shipping date. BCP reserves the right, in special situations only, to modify the below shipping rates only if necessary.

If you are located in Hawaii, Alaska, or a U.S. Territory we ship via insured Priority Mail in most cases. UPS will not ship to PO Boxes. If you just have a PO Box we use Priority Mail.

Vessels traveling in a nation of which their yacht is not registered typically do not pay the above fees if they are "in transit" and the goods are not for resale. Goods are generally considered "ships spares". There are exceptions to this, therefore the prudent yachtsman should check out the requirements on duty and tax fees with their local Custom's Office prior to ordering. If Imposed, you are responsible for all duty, taxes, advancement fees, brokerage fees or other related fees. If your vessel is registered in the nation in which you are receiving your merchandise, duty, tax or other related fees, if imposed, will be your (the recipient's) responsibility. Federal Express offers the most reliable service and is our recommended overseas recommended method of shipping whenever possible. We discount Fed Ex to our customers. Fed Ex requires an exact ship to address, postal code (if there is one), and a ship to phone number.

Note: DHL also offers world wide service, but we do not receive any discount, and can only ship at list price, which is very expensive. In certain rare cases DHL is the only reliable choice. We will E-mail with a quote.
The below shipping rates applies to 90% of our shipments. BCP reserves the right to modify as necessary any of the above polices or costs if circumstances warrant. BCP will E-mail you in regard to any special circumstances. Check your E-mail frequently.

Portfolios & Charts:

a) Federal Express International Priority*, for orders of $300 or less - Add 30% or actual shipping costs, whichever is greater ($59.95 minimum).

b) Federal Express International Priority*, for orders of $301 to $999 - Add 20% or actual shipping costs, whichever is greater.

c) Federal Express International Priority*, for orders of more than $1000 - Add 15% or actual shipping costs, whichever is greater. In some cases Federal Express does not deliver to remote areas. We then ship via U.S. Express Mail or Airmail.

d) Express Mail* or Airmail for orders of $300 or less - Add 35% or actual shipping costs, whichever is greater ($59.95 minimum).

e) Express Mail* or Airmail for orders of $301 plus - Add 25% or actual shipping costs, whichever is greater.

* These types of services are not available to all countries. The price for Airmail is the same as Fed Ex or Express Mail. We will only use Airmail if Fed Ex or Express Mail is not available. Note: If a parcel is lost via Airmail no claim can be made for 90 days and it takes a year to settle the claim!

* Note: The costs displayed above apply in most cases (in remote areas shipping costs will be higher). If your ship to address is in one of the nations served by the rate table above your shipping rates will be confirmed at the time you place your order. In some cases there may be an additional $20 charge if you are in an "Extended Area" in one of the nations served. We will Email you in regard to this possible upcharge, however, we will still process your order anyway and add the $20 charge if it applies. It is also possible there may be areas that are even beyond the "Extended Area", in these areas FedEx may not even offer service (such as remote areas of Australia). Please check you E-mail frequently, for we will send you a message if we need further order re-confirmation and may not ship your merchadise until we receive re-confirmation from you. If you do not receive any price quote for shipping you must check your E-mail within 48 hours to receive a shipping quote and/or options.

BCP ships via FedEx in most cases. Please note if you order $300-499 in chart folios or single charts, your flag shipping will be $29.95 and if you order $500+ in chart portfolios or single charts, your flag shipping will be $19.95. Please note we can be out of stock in regard to certain flags and it may take 5-7 working days to secure the requested flags.

When or flags without charts, 10% of the cost of the order in most cases. BCP chooses the best service available to your location: FedEx Priority Service, Express Mail, or Airmail. ($59.95 min.)

Washington State Shipments:

Shipments within the State of Washington will be subject to Washington State Sales tax unless we receive a copy of a valid driver's license from: Alaska, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, New Hampshire, Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, Puerto Rico, Yukon and Alberta. Shipments outside the State of Washington are not subject to Washington State Sales Tax.

Domestic Shipments:

Sales tax is not collected for shipments outside of Washington State.
